SOPHE’s 2022 Annual Conference transitions to an all digital event

Participants can gather from the comfort of their home or office

Washington, D.C. – September 28, 2021 – The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) 73rd Annual Conference scheduled for March 22-25, 2022 in St. Louis is transitioning to an all-digital three-day event.

SOPHE’s Board of Trustees explored several alternatives to an in-person conference but ultimately decided to remain completely virtual for the third year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The board is committed to keeping participants, staff, volunteers and others healthy and safe.

The 2022 annual conference will build on SOPHE’s outstanding success during the past two years in offering the latest and relevant digital health education programming and experience. Participants will choose between plenary and concurrent sessions, roundtables, posters, and other innovative formats focused on cutting-edge health promotion topics. poster sessions, roundtables, world café, PechaKucha, Rock Your Flock, micro-learning, Ignite, skill-building, and more.

“Even with extensive protocols, the current health trends and SOPHE member surveys had us reconsider meeting alternatives to keep us all safe,” said Dr. Deborah Fortune, SOPHE’s President. “We believe that it’s our obligation to make responsible decisions in favor of public health—so we’re coming to you!”

With CECH built into the registration fee, the meeting continues to offer the best industry value for CHES®, MCHES® and CPH colleagues.

Registration for the annual conference, “Health Education: The ARCH of an Era” opens next month. Look for the opening notice in an email that will offer early bird and national SOPHE member preferred pricing.
