Elaine Auld, MPH, CHES® announces her retirement as SOPHE’s CEO

Washington, DC – July 2021 – SOPHE Chief Executive Officer, Elaine Auld, has announced her intention to retire effective December 31, 2021. SOPHE’s Board of Trustees accepted the news with sadness and appreciation for Elaine’s 25 years of remarkable leadership to the health education profession and to SOPHE.

We thank Elaine for her recent work on the strategic plan for 2021-2025, the development of the new SOPHE logo (to be released later this year), her support of SOPHE’s efforts on anti-racism, and her efforts to establish a solid financial framework for SOPHE. We thank Elaine for leaving SOPHE in a good position for our next leader!

Auld will continue in her role on a part-time basis until December 31, 2021.

SOPHE’s Board of Trustees has formed a search committee to work with an executive search firm to hire SOPHE’s next leader.
