Using Technology for Curricular Mapping in Health Education Specialist Preparation Programs

Presenters from two different universities will share their curricular mapping and assessment processes to the Responsibilities and Competencies for Health Education Specialists. Each presenter will share experiences defining assessment parameters, identifying outcome measures, mobilizing faculty support, and compiling findings for dissemination for internal assessment and accreditation. Experiences with creating systems for measuring and reporting on student learning outcomes will be discussed. Technologies used to support curriculum mapping and assessment will be explored. Practical applications of REDCap® and Canvas for curricular assessment and reporting will be explained. The process of updating curricular assessment processes to align with renewed HESPA measures will be described.
