Arkansas SOPHE invites all associates to attend the upcoming Arkansas SOPHE Annual Conference to be held on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas on Wednesday, October 17. 2018.

This year’s theme is Igniting Change and Innovation: The Impact of Health Education. Health education is not static; it is a constant state of advancement. Centered at ‘the heart of it all, health education spins a web that supports the growth of all that is entwined. With every shift in best practice, each new research finding, every student who engages in the classroom, health education catalyzes a ripple effect of progress. As health education and promotion professionals, it is our responsibility to empower each other by magnifying the work our community contributes to igniting change and innovation in our ever-changing world.

This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Doyne Health Science Center located on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas. Special emphasis is placed on presenting information and research on health education-related developments and trends, as well as emerging and ongoing issues in public health. In addition, health screenings and flu shots will be offered to UCA students, faculty/staff and others, in conjunction with the event.

Registration is from 8:30 am until 9:00 am. The conference will start at 9:00 am.
